The Free Chart Cup #1 is our first trading contest, and it is free. Everyone starts with the same $10,000 in virtual funds and trades real, live market prices for one week. The best traders win Premium.
There is no deposit and nothing to lose. It is a good way to test your strategy against other traders under the same conditions, and to build a public track record you can point to.
What you can win
- Top 3: 30 days of Premium each.
- Best single trade: 15 days of Premium, for the biggest profit on one trade.
- Lowest drawdown: 15 days of Premium, for the smallest max drawdown among traders who finish in profit.
These two side prizes go to traders outside the top 3, so one person never takes two prizes.
Already on a Monthly or Yearly plan that renews automatically? Then the prize goes to your balance as credits instead of premium days, at the Monthly plan's price: 5,500 credits ($5.50) for a 30-day prize, 2,750 credits ($2.75) for a 15-day prize. The credits pay your next renewal, or anything else on the site.
Winners also get a badge next to their name in chat, in Community and on the leaderboard, and a place in the contest's Hall of fame.
When
- Start: Monday, November 2, 2026, 00:00 UTC.
- End: Friday, November 6, 2026, 22:00 UTC, when the Forex market closes. Crypto and Forex finish at the same moment.
- Late entries: you can still join until Wednesday, November 4, 00:00 UTC.
All contest times are UTC.
How to join
Step 1. Sign in
Sign in to The Free Chart. Joining needs an account, so your entry and your prize stay yours.
Step 2. Open the contests
On a computer, open the chart, then click the trophy icon in the icon bar on the right edge of the screen (its tooltip says Contests). From any other page, click Contests in the top menu.

On a phone, tap Community in the tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Then tap Contests at the top of Community.

Step 3. Open The Free Chart Cup #1
The list shows every open contest with its prize, entry fee, dates and number of traders. Click (or tap) The Free Chart Cup #1.

The contest page opens on its leaderboard. Click Join contest at the top.

Step 4. Read the details and the rules
A window opens with the contest's details: the awards, the dates, the entry fee and the time left.

The Contest rules tab lists the account, the markets and the full terms.

Step 5. Accept the terms and join
Link your Telegram account if you have not yet: the window shows a Connect Telegram button when it is needed. One Telegram account can enter once.
Tick I accept the contest terms, and that my contest session is public, then click Join.

Your contest session opens on the chart right away. You trade it from the Trade panel like any live session: market and pending orders, stop loss, take profit, all with real-time prices. Orders keep running on our servers even after you close the tab.
You can join before the start. Your session is ready, and trading opens when the contest begins.
How the ranking works
The leaderboard ranks traders by % return on the starting balance. If two traders have the same return, the one with the lower max drawdown ranks higher.
You need at least 2 closed trades to be ranked. Until then you still appear on the leaderboard, marked "Not eligible yet".
The leaderboard updates about every minute. It is not final until the organizers review and approve the results after the contest ends.
Contest rules
These are the full rules. You also find them in the contest page, under Contest rules.
Account and markets
- Starting balance: $10,000 in virtual funds.
- Leverage: 1:20, fixed for every trader.
- Markets: crypto from Binance, plus Forex, indices and metals from OANDA.
- Broker mode: crypto trades as a CFD, with a spread, like at a retail broker.
Entries
- One entry per person, and one entry per Telegram account.
- Once you join, you cannot leave the contest or join again.
- Your contest session is public: its balance and closed trades are visible to everyone, open positions never are. It cannot be deleted or made private, and it carries the contest's name.
End of the contest
- At 22:00 UTC on Friday, open positions are closed at the last recorded price before the cutoff.
- The organizers review the final results before any prize is granted.
Fair play
- One person, one account.
- Before prizes are granted, every winner is checked for linked accounts (the same Telegram account or the same network) and for opposite trades opened at the same time as another entrant's on the same symbol.
- Using several accounts, or friends' accounts, to trade against each other is not allowed. For example: a buy on one account and a sell on another, so that one of them is sure to win.
- Coordinating trades with other entrants, exploiting bugs or obviously wrong prices, and automating abuse of the platform are not allowed either.
- Breaking these rules disqualifies every entry involved. The next trader in line takes the prize.
Prizes
- Prizes are Premium days on the winner's account.
- They have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- One prize per person.
- If your Monthly or Yearly plan is set to renew automatically when the results are approved, the prize is added to your balance as credits instead of premium days, at the Monthly plan's price: 5,500 credits for a 30-day prize, 2,750 for a 15-day prize. These credits can be spent on the site but not withdrawn.
- Prizes may be withheld if these rules are broken.
Early contests
- The contest system is new, and this is the first contest that runs on it. There may be bugs, for example in the leaderboard, the prices or the results.
- If a bug affects the results, the organizers may correct them, extend the contest or cancel it.
- If you find a bug, please tell us. Using a bug on purpose leads to disqualification.
Changes and disputes
- The organizers may change the schedule, pause or cancel a contest, for example after an outage. A cancelled contest grants no prizes.
- In any dispute, the organizers' decision is final.
Simulated trading
- This is a simulated trading contest with virtual funds. No real money is deposited, traded, won or lost.
- Nothing here is financial advice.
Joining the contest means you accept these rules.
See you on the leaderboard
